Yeah... there's really no conte...Kevin Kelley,

Yeah... there's really no context in which Limbaugh's words are defensible. 100,000 people might be dead and his biggest concern is that Obama might benefit. (Um, YEAH... Because he's not an idiotic scumbag who would, for example, watch an entire US city flood and drown and do NOTHING for over a week, when doing pretty much ANYTHING would be the right choice!) Seriously, after Bush's EPIC FAIL with Katrina, you'd think these guys would drink a nice steaming cup of STFU every once in a while!

But they LOVE the "out of context" defense. And it's just more of their classic projecting. THEY take quotes out of context all the time. They think nothing of it. So... go figure that their opponents are ALWAYS making this defense... I mean: THEY'RE ALWAYS BEING TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT! And these RW'ers assume that everybody else is as sorely lacking in principlas as they are, so everyone else must make a regular practice of this as well. Also, they know that their own sheep will always give them the benfit of the doubt: The Con NEVER takes ayone out of context, but those evil Lib's? Oh man, watch what you say, becasue they'll take you right out of context! As soon as the have everyone convinced that THE OTHER GUY is doing what THEY'RE in fact doing...? Well, they'll always get a pass on it from that point forward!

That's why they keep driving home the "liberal media" myth: It's shields them from any objective criticism without them actually having to address it!Niceguy Eddiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03896896323840121445noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7342454496014200176.post-470350159339123022010-01-18T23:10:04.991-05:002010-01-18T23:10:04.991-05:00Metal Matt,

My eloquence goes straight out the window when I speak about them as well, you aren't the only one. If one is able to identify a tribe or natio...Greg,

If one is able to identify a tribe or nation that they descend from, I would imagine that designation would generally be preferable to an umbrella term, whether that term was cosidered offensive or not. That's the downside of a term like "African-American" because it lumps ALL of the varied cultures of Africa into on terms, and most can not trace their lineage back farther than the Confederacy. Hey: you'll never hear an Irish- or Italian-American describe themselves as "European." LOL. So yeah - I say that one SHOULD be pround of their heritage. And umbrella terms like Indian, Native American-African, European, etc... are dismisive of that heritage, at best.

As for Steele (and Reid?) As neither man has a history of racism, I see it as no more than both sides trying to score cheap points. After all, if either man DID have a history of racism, THAT HISTORY would be a problem in and of itself, and would consist of much more than the occasionaly outdated coloquialism. (Take someone like David Duke. Non-PC language is really the LEAST of people's complaints about HIM. LOL)

Thanks for your comment.Niceguy Eddiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03896896323840121445noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7342454496014200176.post-84045780535194763862010-01-15T21:23:25.081-05:002010-01-15T21:23:25.081-05:00Hey Eduardo, I was reading your posts over at MMFA...Hey Eduardo, I was reading your posts over at MMFA on the Steele "Honest Injun" remark. I'm in the same "camp" with you on that one. I know I wasn't offended and I'm Seminole-African. The intent of Steele's remark wasn't to denigrate Native Americans, or "Indians"(my grandmother hated the term Indian)She prefered Seminolegreg mcclurenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7342454496014200176.post-54503948181243443642010-01-15T21:13:10.220-05:002010-01-15T21:13:10.220-05:00Yeah Eddie what a couple of scum bags.Whats really...Yeah Eddie what a couple of scum bags.Whats really sad about these two degenerates running their mouth's is that I don't think anyone is surprised.
