Back, after a long hiatus...

...of keeping this blog updated!

My apologies to the four of you who still check here, but the Podcast and People pages are now UP TO DATE!  And the schedule has needed some tweaking due to some unforeseen, behind-the-scenes circumstances the past couple of weeks.  SO, coming up we've got...

Columnist and Activist, Brynn Tannehill will return to IMHO on September 20th to talk about the grim prospects faces the Transgender Community, should Donald Trump win the Presidency.

Jacqueline Dupree, one of Sobel Nation's favorite drag queens, who's single "Good Time" is hitting the dance charts, on September 24th!  (She also plays in the Gay Football League, so we'll talk about that too!)

My good friend, Robyn Carson, will join me on September 27th to review the wretched legacy of Ronald Reagan!

On October 1st, we've got a great show: I will be joined by Music Producer Mike Bennett, King Schascha, Vocalist for The English Beat, Funky Si (Simon Walstencroft,) Drummer for The Fall and the Fall's Producer (and former Bass Player) Simon Ding!

On October 4th, I'm joined by BlastingNews.com's top writer, Robby Sobel to talk about the election, the debate, the issues and a lot more!

On the 8th, the incredible vocalist Kym Sims is in the house!

On October 11th, we will run a long-await interview with Vandy Beth Glenn.  My apologies to Ms. Glenn, and much thanks for her patience as this has been bumped a couple of times now.  Vandy Beth runs the Transgender Skepdic on Facebook, served in our country's military and was part of a landmark case regarding Transgender Discrimination in the workplace!

On October 11, we hope to have Robby Sobel. lol. This was scheduled, but the his car died on the night of the interview, stranding him.  So... TBD. Stay tuned!

Schedule Changes

On Saturday, June 4th, THEY'RE BACK! I will be joined by the 1980's band Tight Fit who are once again release new tracks!

Unfortunately we have been asked to shelve the show originally slated for 6/7 with Annalisa Rogers, of the American Lung Association for now, so we'll be bumping everyone up slot: He's been bumped a few times now, but we'll finally be getting to Deven Stewart, author of Autumn Rose and Creator of Pink Dollar Comics!

We will be in re-run on the 11th...

...And on 6/14, I have the honor of sitting down with Sarah Warbelow, Legal Director for the HRC!

Moving...

Not sure this will be important for anyone, but just in case... I am currently in the process of migrating my show's archives from Mixcloud to YouTube.  Once they are all moved over, I will likely close the Mixcloud account entirely.  No changes will be made to the show's schedule or content, but I feel that YouTube will be a better platform, for the purpose of both discussion and feedback as well as monetization.

...Um... We'll see how long I can keep the comments open, the average YouTube commenter makes William look like George Will. lol

If you'd like to subscribe to the channel, you can do so HERE. Thanks!

...AND as it turns out, Ms. Jones was so generous with her time, and gracious enough to answer the multitude of questions that I had been accumulating since last May, that this show had to span two full episodes. So part two will air on April 19th. (THANK YOU, ZINNIA!)

On 4/23, assuming ting asgo according to plan, we'll have the Doctor back on, and also be joined by Little Liam! (not official yet)

I fucking LOVE Science!

Must be one of those reason why I'm a Liberal!

And now, not only has science shown that Liberals *ARE* smarter than Conservatives, it can now explain Why Liberals Are More Intelligent than Conservatives!

Fight Transmisogyny!

I love Jessica's work, but sometimes she can be really scary.

But this is a serious issue, and a relatively superficial feature of a much deeper, more sinister agenda on the part of the Religious Right.  Their arguments are based not in science, medicine or even crime statistics but rather in bigotry and fear-mongering.  And before anybody (I'm looking at YOU, ewarenotWilliam) tries to challenge mo on this, realize that repealing these protections (in place since 2006 in over 200 U.S. cities, without incident) and forcing someone like the author...

...to use the MEN'S room would have the parallel effect of forcing THIS PERSON...

...into using the LADIES ROOM!  (And MY WIFE is NOT OK with that!) So FFS, please: THINK about what you're saying and plan to do and about the effect it has on the people you claim to be protecting before you speak.

BOTTOM LINE:

1) No actions or "compromises" that expose transgender people to ACTUAL danger is acceptable in order to protect cisgender people from perceived, imagined and largely mythical danger.

2) Given the level of violence faced by transgender people in our society, no actions or "compromises" that force them OUT THEMSELVES to everyone around them is not even remotely acceptable.

BTW... Those two people are Jessica Udischas and Buck Angel respectively, both of whom have been gracious enough to appear on my show and share some of their experiences.  I'd advise one to LISTEN to them before judging them. (Their names there link to their respective shows.)

More Schedule Changes...

A couple of changes to the upcoming schedule.  We'll be in re-run this Saturday (4/12) after which, we'll have the show (shown above) with DJ Paul Rhodes, who's got some upcoming projects to plug as well as to continue out discussion of Clinton vs. Sanders.  Last time we heard from PJ Espinal, a Sanders supporter who was determined not to vote for Clinton is Sanders doesn't get the nomination. Paul is a Clinton supporter who feels the same about Sanders.

Then on 3/22, I'll be sitting down with Gender Justice League founder and State House Candidate for Washington's 43rd District, Danni Askini!

Then on 3/29, we will have the first of a two-part conversation with activist and former US Naval Aviator, Brynn Tannehill!

...the second part of which will continue on 4/5:

Welp

Just want to share some more of the fun with Y'all...

So, long story short, I have a friend that runs an intersectional feminist group on Facebook when she's not doing freelance writing, activism, studying, etc...  Apparently she got into a tiff with one of the MRA's on YouTube.  And, being the mighty anti-SWJ he is, he replied in the most productive way he could think to: He made a video. (Two, actually)
(I'm not mocking that part BTW. Hell, I'm only doing a blog post, because he didn't give me quite enough to get a show out of.)

Now, I'm not going to link to the videos about Raffi here.  You can go to his channel if you want to see. (William, I'll bet you and he will have a LOT in common.)  But I did go there and leave a nasty (though  admittedly rather childish) comment on it.  After telling me you little he cares about my opinion, a little while later, my in-box looked like this:

LOL. I guess I hit a nerve.

And then, to show everyone how little he cares, he made his next video about ME.  Well, graduating with honors from "no such thing as bad publicity" school as I have, I'd like to share that with you.  BTW, I deny nothing about my own FB post, my comments, etc... There's not much here, but what he says, he gets right.  (The actual FB post is buried pretty deeply right now, but he narrates it for you, so you don't have to go digging for it.)  That's not to says that I hold with his judgments, characterizations or opinions about anything, but the facts he states about my action are correct.  (Credit where it's due.)

One thing I will say, as flattered as I am that I apparently DO warrant a tiny blip on his radar, I am slightly disappointed that he didn't give me a bot more to go on. I might have even aired it. (I will still probably use a few bits of it though. I do kind of like his style.) But his detective work IS a bit lacking. If you want to see what a good bit of trolling REALLY looks like, you should see the write up Kiwi Farms did on me.  It's beautiful. ;)
