Dr. Robin Schoenthaller, the Boston Cancer Doc Who Writes About Covid

 *phew* Finally caught up!

This is my interview with Dr. Robin Schoenthaller, the Boston Cancer Doc Who Writes About Covid.  (And has the longest name in the history of IMHO.) (Here's her Facebook, which has most of her Covid related articles.) This is playing directly from my Mixcloud, because YouTube pulled the video for "Medical Misinformation" which is the EXACT OPPOSITE of what we are doing here, according to YouTube OWN STANDARDS.

1) Get vaccinated

2) Masks work

3) Dr. Anthony Fauci is a credible expert who was right about everything, according to the best information available at every given point in time.

4) Same goes for the CDC, WHO, etc...

If you DISAGREE with any of those statement, the YOU, my friend, would be in violation of YouTube's community standards. (So take it up with them.) But I AGREE with them. And somehow still got the video blocked. But they can't silence me: Here I am, and here it is.

And we're going to have a talk about YouTube's arbitrary and capricious enforcement of their Community Standards.

Robyn Carson, gender transition

(...almost there...)

In this episode, my good friend Robyn Carson returns to talk about the process of Gender Transition, and dispel some of the myths associated with it. (William would have "LOVED" this one. Does anyone remember him?)

Coming up, re-scheduled

I hope you'll be able to join us TONIGHT, at 9:PM EST on RainbowRadio.FM, when I'll (finally) be talking to Dave Garcia, Executive Director of Affirmations, Ferndale Michigan's local LGBTQIA+ community center. (Technical glitch prevented the show from airing last week.) We'll be discussing all of the services that the organization provides, FLEX a little for the awesome city of Ferndale, and touch about the unfortunate incident from a couple of weeks ago regarding a local hate group and how that was handled.
Then, NEXT WEEK (17 April, 9:PM EST on RainbowRadio.FM), we'll be joined by Bria, the creator of the Life of Bria Comics as well as several graphic novels including Coming Out Again which released last month on Amazon. Immensely talented artist and a very personal interview, I had such a great time talking with her, so be sure to catch it!
Then on April 24th, (9:PM EST on RainbowRadio.FM) my good friend and many time guest, Brynn Tannehill returns to talk about her new book, American Fascism: How the GOP Is Subverting Democracy, which will be available on Amazon in the next few days. This book is MUST-READ for anyone who wants to understand WTF is (and has been) going on with America, how things got SO BAD, and why it will be so difficult to fix them in the foreseeable future. Scary stuff, but an easily 5***** essential read for anyone who cares about the direction the country is heading in. SO DON'T MISS IT!

Coming up on IMHO, RainbowRadio and YouTube...

A great conversation on Rainbow last night with E.B. Coternord about sex work, and the attitudes, laws and issues surrounding it.  This is one show that really challenged me and forced me to change some of my attitudes more than most do. If you missed it on Rainbow, you can play it below, and it will live (along with the rest of this year's shows) in the IMHO-2021 tab at the top of the page.

The shows are also being migrated over to my YouTube Channel. All of the 2021 shows will be posted at the same time that they drop on Mixcloud (which is what this blog links to.) In addition the audio-only content that airs on Rainbow (and is included here) the YouTube channel will also included the uncut, unedited VIDEO footage from these intervioews as well. SO check that out if you want to put some faces to the voices you hear, and occasioanlly see how awkward and clumsy it gets sometimes. Lol.

I'm also slowly but surely working through the back catalog of shows to get all of those uploaded to YouTube as well. I'm about a third of the way through 2015 at this point, and the newer software and faster upload speed is really making short work of it.

OH, and you can also find my series of WEAPONS VIDEOS there! Just me talking for a few minutes about the pieces in my collection.

Coming up NEXT WEEK, Saturday, 20 March, at 9:PM EST on RainbowRadio.FM, we've got Suzanne and Declan DeWitt Hall. Suzanne is the Author of the Rumplepimple series of children's books and the Where True Love Is series of affirming Christina devotionals covering everything from LGBTQIA+ relationships and identities, family, abortion, sex, sexuality and ultimately deconstructing faith and doubt. And Declan manages the incredible outreach and online community that has grown from these works. These are two of my favorite people in the world, and easily two of my favorite Christians. I strongly encourage you to tune in and check out the amazing work that they're doing.

And then, the following week, Saturday 27 March at 9:PM EST on RainbowRadio.FM, I'll be talking with Joanna Harper about the research she's doing into the performance aspects of transgender athletes and the effects that hormone blockers and hormone replacement have on (assigned) male (at birth) athletes as they go through transition to compete FAIRLY in the Female division of their sport. Transgender athletics is the Right's latest moral panic du jour, so if you have any questions or doubts about the SCIENCE that allows trans women to compete fairly, be sure to tune in!

IMHO Returns to Rainbow Radio!

In case you missed it, last week, after a nearly four year absence, IMHO aired one again on RainbowRadio.FM! Although there will be off weeks, we will generally air at 9:PM EST on Saturdays.

My first guest was a frequent visitor to the old podcast, Terra Snover. Back in the day, Terra was the writer and artist behind the Mock Girl webcomic. Since then she's run for congress and published her first novel Another Online: All Hail the Queen. We take a look back at the past four years, talk about all the WTF that happened, and look at how we might move forward. The show can be accessed below, and in the newly added IMHO-2021 tab, above.

And coming up TONIGHT at 9:PM Eastern on RainbowRadio.FM, we've got acclaimed and convicted Nazi Puncher and Bastard Psychopomp of Punk Skarrlett Krow!

And while there is no show on the 6th of March, we'll be back on the 13th with a truly mind-opening discussion about sex work and the issues surrounding sex work with EB Coternord!

ANOTHER TRIP TO FLAT IRON!

If you're friends with me on Facebook, you may have already heard, but I was called out of town all last week on business at the last minute.  And I got suckered into staying in a town with patchy hotel wifi (at best,) no 4G and no Cell Service. (Not USABLE anyway: <1 and="" bar="" i="">roaming
. LOL)
But I DID manage to get up to the Flat Iron again.  You might remember that I posted about this grueling hike back in February. (With a follow-up.)  Anyway, here are some pics I took this time around:

BTW... in that picture on the right, I'm lying down.  Those mountains in the background aren't behind me, they're below me!

Also, I'm finally able to give some updates from the show!

Julie Rei Goldstein's and Ian Ford's shows are now posted in the Radio Page, and Dan Wee's show will be by night's end.

And, coming up this Saturday, we'll be welcoming back Barbara Sobel, and introducing the first of what we hope to be a regular (at least once weekly) segment, COOKING WITH THE DOC, featuring culinary and/or comedic brilliance from The Doctor, of Doctor and the Medics, Rock icon Clive Jackson! Brilliant segment. Be sure not to miss it!

THANK YOU, DEVEN!

A HUGE thank you to Deven Green, (aka America's BEST Christian, Mrs. Betty Bowers) for appearing on my show.  It was almost (it pretty much was) complete nightmare as I had a total equipment meltdown the second I hit "record" but I had so much fun talking with her, and am so grateful for her taking the time to talk to me!  She really is awesome. Thank you SO MUCH, Deven!

Deven's show is now up on the RADIO PAGE.  Betty's latest work of genius is here, for your enjoyment:

"Just look at the Donald!"

Glitches and Gratitude

So first off, I'd like to send out the most heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who tuned into Sunday's encore presentation of the show I did with JULIAN MARSH.  We got such a response that we actually crashed the server at one point!  So THANK YOU, so much!

Also, I'd like to apologize to anyone who tuned into tonight's show with Terra Snover, creator of Mock Girl. There was about a 30-second long technical glitch, where two tracks were playing right on top of one another. I take full responsibility for that, that was totally my fault, and I have fixed it on the podcast that is now hosted up on the Radio Page.

Thanks again to everyone who tuned in!

Coming up...

I'm happy to announce that IMHO RADIO will be expanding to include a Sunday Afternoon show! While the Tuesday show has been almost exclusively an interview show so far, and will continue to be for as long as I can keep finding great and interesting guests that want to come on. The plan is for the Sunday show to be more along the lines of the videos that I had been doing prior to taking this gig, just riffing off of stories that I find throughout the week, and giving my take on the issues of the day.  The first of these will be this Sunday, 6/14.

I mentioned in the last post that next week's show (6/16) will feature Suzanne DeWitt Hall, who's new book, Rumplepimple is now available on Amazon. (I've got my copy coming!) Suzanne and I had a great conversation, covering the book, Popes John Paul and Francis (and that guy in the Middle), and how a strait Catholic woman and a straight Baptist woman get together, marry and reconcile faith and sexuality.

Following that, on 6/23, I'm hosting Aneesh Sheth and Jeremy Behrens.  Aneesh is the creator of CRAVE, a new Net Series about three friends starring Aneesh as Maggie, a transwoman struggling to become an actress, Jeremy as Bobbi, a gay man stuck in a dead-end job and an abusive relationship and Angela DiMarco as Karen, a military wife with struggling with infertility and a marriage that is no longer the same after he husband come homes from a year in Afghanistan.  While we're waiting, go check out their pilot episode, and if you like what you see, support their kick-starter so that a full season can become a reality!

And then on 6/30, we've got Jessica Udischas, creator of the web-comic Manic Pixie Nightmare Girls, which gives a bitingly satirical look at life as transgender woman, putting up with cissexism, transmisogyny, bigots, bad allies, great friends and REAL LIFE. If you like what you see there and would like to support this comic, please visit her Patreon!

I want to thank everyone again for coming on and speaking with me, everyone who's tuned in and helped to make the show a success and especially Barbara for giving me this opportunity.

I DO hope that you will join in next week, Tuesday, 6/9 at 10:PM Eastern on www.RainbowRadio.FM for the next show, during which I'll be presenting my "opposition opinion" on Caitlyn Jenner, give my thoughts on the forthcoming Supreme Court decision regarding State bans on Same-Sex marriage, and do my take down of a recent Right-Wing article concerning "When Science Doesn't Matter to Liberals." My special guest for the evening will be Alex Heberling, creator of The Hues: Post Apocalyptic Magical Girls web-comic. It promises to be a lot of fun and I hope you will join us!

IMHO Radio - 6/2/15

Last week's show, with Carrie Reimer went really well, it was huge success.  If you didn't catch it, it can be found on the IMHO Radio page.  It is of particular importance to anyone involved with a Narcissist, or anyone who suspects that a friend or loved one might be.  To learn more, please also visit Carrie's blog, Lady With A Truck where she goes in to great detail about some of the most horrible and personal experiences of her life in the hopes that she may help others to recognize the dangers that people with NPD pose. If you would like to support the work that Carrie is doing, you can make a donation, or buy something from her store.

Coming up next week, we've got a really fun show. I've never had so much fun interviewing someone or laughed so hard doing it. My special guest is the very funny and talented Megan Rose Gedris, creator of Meaty Yogurt as well as arguably my favorite web-comic of all-time, YU&ME: Dream. Beyond that she is a member of the Super Happy Fun Time Burlesque troupe, and has rather a few more... *a-hem* adult oriented comics to her name as well.  We had a great time, lots of fun, please join us - you won't regret it!

Tuesday, June 2nd at 10:PM Eastern on RainbowRadio.FM:

IMHO Radio - 5/26/15 - Please forward!

A huge "thank you" to everyone who tuned in last night, we had a HUGE audience, at least by my expectations: 213,678.  So if you were one of them, THAN YOU so much for tuning in!

We have a really important show coming up next week.  My guest is Carrie Reimer. She's a domestic abuse survivor who's written a blog sharing her experiences over a 10-year relationship with someone who had Narcissistic Personality Disorder. I really want to help her spread awareness, and support, so putting all politics aside for a night, PLEASE forward this information to anyone you know who is interested or who might benefit from or be better able to help someone else by hearing it.

Carrie's Blog is Lady With a Truck. Do check it out, she's a really amazing woman and she's doing such important work and helping so many people.

The show airs Tuesday, 5/26/15 at 10:PM Eastern time on RainbowRadio.FM.

There's also a Facebook event page, please feel free to pass that on as well.
