Big Week...

We've got a couple of really cool shows coming up this week!

On Tuesday, we've got the Waterskiing Girl Wonder, Shellie Blum, author of Waterski Girl Wonder, due out on December 16th!  Don't miss it, this lady really kicks a lot of ass!

And then on Saturday, the 19th...

YES, YES, YES, ladies and gentlemen, opnce again I'll be hosting the man, the myth, the LEGEND...

THE DOCTOR.

The Parallox re-mix of Doctor and the Medics' signiture song, Sprit in the Sky hit the charts earlier today, and is currently at #25 on ZipDJ and #32 on Masspool.  Starfleet still has it in the VIP section, where the votes for "It's a hit!" and "I like it!" total 12,575 out of 14,383 votes cast. So make no mistake folks: This is going to be a number one hit, and the Doctor IS back!

I've mentioned before how his show and the two featuring the Doc's cooking segment drew well over FIVE MILLION LISTENERS, and that the feed was picked up in dozens of countries.  Well, I compiled the list from all three shows, and we got listeners in all of the following regions:

Azerbaijan, Austria, Angola, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belize, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, China, Chuvashia, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Eritrea, Fiji, France, Germany, Guam, Honduras, Iceland, India, Ingria, Iran, Italy, Japan, Java, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Laos, Lesotho, Luxembourg, Madagascar, Malawi, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, New Guinea, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Puerto Rico, Russia, Singapore,  Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lank, Sweden, Telangana, Thailand, Tuvalu, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, the United , States, Uzbekistan, Venezuela and Whales.

So come; be a part of on of the biggest podcasts in the world!  Come meet the Doc, he's a phenomonal individual. an absolute mad genius, and truly funny man, and a genuine person who really enjoys reaching out and getting to know all of the people out in the world.  He was very giving the last time we had him on, and having just finished up this second interview earlier tonight, I have to say that I had every bit as much fun this around around. He really is an amasing human being.

Another Wild One...

Tonight we had another wild and crazy show.  The feed went way over the five-million user limit, and even the back-up system crashed momentarily.  Really hoppin' chat room, with all the regulars tuning in, as well as folks from all over the world, staying up until crazy hours to hear my interview with Barbara Sobel, and our new segment, "Cooking with the Doc."

Based on either the chat room or the what the stream was picking up, we had listeners in Azerbaijan, Angola, Argentina, Armenia, Austria, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Malawi, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Poland, Puerto Rico, Spain, Russia, Sri Lanka, Slovakia, South Africa, Telangana, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, Ukraine, Venezuela & Whales.

I want to give a most sincere "THANK YOU" to EVERYONE who tuned in, to Barbara for coming on, and most of all to that mad genius, Doc, for that brilliant segment on how to boil an egg. And if you haven't tuned in yet, and you're wondering what all the fuss is about, you should tune in next week, Saturday, 10/17 at 8:PM Eastern, on RainbowRadio.FM for part two of this show!

Coming up this week...

As I mentioned before, on Saturday, we've go the first of a two-part show with the Queen Bee herself, Baraba Sobel - after which will premiere Cooking With the Doc, which promises to be a culinary instructional experience like no other.  That's 8:PM Eastern, Saturday on Rainbow Raido. Don't miss it - this is going to bigger than the Doc's prior show, and will have one wild-ass chat room. So be sure to drop in and say, "Hi!"

And then at 10:PM Eastern, on Tuesdsay, the 13th, I am pleased to welcome Terra Snover back to the program, who brings with her Hayden Black, the Writer, Creator and Director of the new animated series Gen Zed.  You may recall that Terra was on the show back in July, and the week before last, on the 29th, we were joined by Julie Rei Goldstein, the lead voice actress for the series.

And if you'd like to see what Gen Zed is is all about, here is the trailer:

Be sure to tune in!

ANOTHER TRIP TO FLAT IRON!

If you're friends with me on Facebook, you may have already heard, but I was called out of town all last week on business at the last minute.  And I got suckered into staying in a town with patchy hotel wifi (at best,) no 4G and no Cell Service. (Not USABLE anyway: <1 and="" bar="" i="">roaming
. LOL)

But I DID manage to get up to the Flat Iron again.  You might remember that I posted about this grueling hike back in February. (With a follow-up.)  Anyway, here are some pics I took this time around:

BTW... in that picture on the right, I'm lying down.  Those mountains in the background aren't behind me, they're below me!

Also, I'm finally able to give some updates from the show!

Julie Rei Goldstein's and Ian Ford's shows are now posted in the Radio Page, and Dan Wee's show will be by night's end.

And, coming up this Saturday, we'll be welcoming back Barbara Sobel, and introducing the first of what we hope to be a regular (at least once weekly) segment, COOKING WITH THE DOC, featuring culinary and/or comedic brilliance from The Doctor, of Doctor and the Medics, Rock icon Clive Jackson! Brilliant segment. Be sure not to miss it!

Quick Update...

Last night's show with Drag Diva Sheena Rose is now posted on the Radio Page. Great show, very different perspective on LGBT issue than we've had in the past, some fun music... Definitely worth checking out.

And we've got some more really great shows coming up...

This Tuesday, we've got Julie Rei Goldstein, the lead actress in the new animated comedy series, Gen Zed:

On Saturday we're joined by DJ Ian Ford, a, incredibly interesting guy with a background unlike any other, and a wide array of interests. Please tune in as we talks music, clubs, politics, religion and spirituality.

And then next Tuesday, the 6th, we'll have Dan Wees, author of The Encyclopedia of Anti-Mormonism, and blogger currently compiling his list of 1,001 Reasons to discount Mormonism.  Come on in as a former insider gives us some of the scoop on this often misunderstood sect.

In the meantime, if anyone needs me, I will be splitting time between Arizona and Mexico for the upcoming week. Hopefully on Saturday (the 3rd) I'll be standing on top of THIS once again:

Yep, weather permitting (no rain,) I'll be trekking up my favorite Phoenix Peak once again, the Flat Iron, atop the Superstitions Mountain Range in Lost Dutchman State Park.  If anyone will be in the area that day and would like to meet up, shoot me line at niceguy9418@usa.com or message me on facebook.

Amazing

Since I last posted, several shows have been uplaoded to the Radio Page, inlcuding Matt Page, Eric Alan and Caroline Cossey's.

But there is something I'd like to share with you all, for a couple of reasons: First to highlight some of the guests I've had on the show, and the work they do, but also because what's happened in the last 24 hours is incredible. The following are the top five shows we've done, based on their number of listens on my Mixcloud. (This is in addition to whatever audience we had that particular night, which is not being considered. :P) (Otherwise Doc, who practically broke the station, would be the all-time heavy weight champion.)

#5: Alex Heberling, Jenn Dolari and Crystal Frasier. This show aired on 6/9/15. Alex is the creator of "The Hues: Postapocalyptic Magical Girls" webcomic. Jenn is the creator of the "Closetspace" () and "A Wish for Wings" webcomics. Together with he her roommate, Crystal Frazier, they created the "Call me ____" Vanity Fair cover phenomenon that took over Tumblr, Twitter (etc...) for a couple weeks following the initial Caitlyn Jenner Vanity Fair story. (24 Listens)

#4 Doug Strahm. This show aired on 9/5/15. Doug is a pop-country music singer and songwriter. You can find his videos on YouTube and his albums can be purchased through his website. (25 Listens)

#3: Christian Beranek and Kelci Crawford. This show aired on 7/14/15. Christian and Kelci are the wirter and artist behind "Validation" and Kelci has several noteworthy projects of her own that can be found on her website. (29 listens)

#2: Carrie Reimer. This show aired way back on 5/26/15. Carrie is the blogger behind Lady With a Truck, where she shares her story of surviving a 10 year long relationship with an abusive narcissist. Helping to signal boost her work, and to potentially make other folks aware of her blog, and the information she shares, makes this one of the shows I've been most proud to have been a part of, even if my audience was a bit smaller at the time. (64 listens)

Now... All that is so fucking cool, it really is. And with just two exceptions (who shall remain nameless) I have been absolutely thrilled to have met and talked to and hosted each and every single one of the guests I've had on, as well as the ones that I've spoken to who's shows have not yet aired. I love you all, I truly do. But the response to the following show has been simply amazing, and I am humbled by how it has been received, and am truly grateful to have been a part of it.

#1: Caroline Cossey. This show aired LAST NIGHT. "Tula" probably needs no introduction, but to those whom she does, I suggest you read her book. It's been recently re-released for Kindle.

This show, in less than 24 hours, has already generated 94 Listens! And that is in addition to what was arguably the most lively chat room we've ever had for a Tuesday show, and the numerous messages I received from folks both before and after the show.

So, Caroline? I want to thank you again for taking the time to talk to me. I am so grateful that you did this, and please know that you remain an inspiration to so many people around the world!

THANK YOU DOCTOR!

I want to give a huge THANK YOU to the Reverend Doctor Clive Jackson for giving us such a great show tonight. It was a HUGE success that hit over FIVE MILLION listeners before the primary server STOPPED COUNTING.

The stream went out to over 37 countries, with folks tuning in from Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Chuvashia, Ecuador, Eritrea, Fiji, France, Guam, Honduras, Iceland, India, Ingria, Iran, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Lesotho, Luxembourg, Malta, Mauritius, Morocco, New Guinea, Poland, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Tuvalu, Ukraine, The United Kingdom, The United States and Venezuela. If I missed anyone, please forgive me and thanks so much for tuning in!

And the show is now up on the Radio Page for everyone how missed it!

An Excellent Blog by Christine Smith

Christine Smith has penned an excellent blog that gave a very interesting an important take on a couple of aspects of the Kim Davis controversy, particularly the #IWasKimDavis hashtag.  Highly recommended reading.

Dog Bites Man: An open letter to Reverand Mark Sandlin

Just a couple of excepts...

When people like you, and those straight and cisgender people who have also rushed to admit that hey, yeah.... they totally hated people like me, I feel anxious, seeing walls closing in. I don't need reminding just how ubiquitous and gosh-darn understandable folks find it to hate me and my loved ones. I know. I'm not allowed to forget. It's painful to be reminded at every turn that recognizing my humanity was something you had to learn to do. Nor am I shielded from the self-congratulation that goes hand in hand with publicly rejecting that hate. I certainly do not think that you accomplished it is worth special celebration. From my perspective, ceasing to hate people for the way God made them is the bare minimum expectation of a decent human being.

and

Ms. Davis represents a culture war that has harmed and broken people, broken families. As a Christian, I believe that she deserves forgiveness and grace from those of us who she’s harmed. We need to work toward reconciliation with all children of God.

But the challenge is before US, not before YOU.

You have taken this historical moment as yours. You are defining it around yourself, and celebrating the strength of character you display in not only moving past your bigotry but also forgiving people who haven’t overcome theirs. Yet, you are not the aggrieved party.

And it's not TL so please don't DR! Please check it out.

...And if you'd like to hear the discussion I had with Christine on IMHO, you can find it here.  A prior interview she did with me for the Blog can also be found here.

COMING UP SUNDAY: AARON PAUL!

This Sunday, at 3:PM Eastern on Rainbow Radio, I have the pleasure of hosting Aaron Paul, former lead singer of Simon Cowell's early '90's boy band World's Apart. He back and coming off of the release of yet another hit single, and taking time out to share some of his personal story, talk about his music and about what it was like coming out after so many years in the music industry! Great show, don't miss it!

THANK YOU, DEVEN!

A HUGE thank you to Deven Green, (aka America's BEST Christian, Mrs. Betty Bowers) for appearing on my show.  It was almost (it pretty much was) complete nightmare as I had a total equipment meltdown the second I hit "record" but I had so much fun talking with her, and am so grateful for her taking the time to talk to me!  She really is awesome. Thank you SO MUCH, Deven!

Deven's show is now up on the RADIO PAGE.  Betty's latest work of genius is here, for your enjoyment:

"Just look at the Donald!"

HUGE SUCCESS!

Sunday's show, talking music with Issa and then politics with Barbara Sobel, was a HUGE success. I want to thank EVERYONE who tuned in (especially those in Singapore and Iran that were in the chat!) If you didn't catch it, and you might be the only one, it's now hosted on the Radio Page.  I also want to thank Issa so much from coming, and Barbara for not only coming on but for giving me this opportunity, and for helping to put everything together and get it out there!  We're doin' great and we're gonna keep on rollin'!

Speaking of which...

Don't forget to tune in Tuesday, at 10:PM Eastern!  It's official, done and in the books! I have the honor of hosting Deven Green, aka AMERICA'S BEST CHRISTIAN, MRS. BETTY BOWERS!

So be sure to tune in and, in the meantime, to SPREAD THE WORD!

Coming up, on IMHO!

We've got some really great shows coming up on IMHO Radio:

On Sunday, the 26th at 3:PM Eastern:

D. and I not only go over his (dare I say it?) militantly Pro-Choice Web-Comic and talk abortion rights in general.  William (remember him?) actually said in his last email to me that he was going to tune in. Of course... he still thinks the counter on THIS PAGE has anything to do with he show, so if he's HERE at 3:00 on Sunday, he's not going to hear much! Remember folks: The show airs on RainbowRadio!

(And lately it's been starting about 5 minutes early for some reason, so don't be afraid to join in a a little early!)

On Tuesday, the 28th, at 10:PM, I'll cover my experiences at:

Lucien Greaves and his merry band of Devil Worshipers Secular Humanists will be unveiling the never before seen 9', 1 ton, bronze statue of Baphomet to the public.  This was originally commissioned to stand next to the monument to the 10 Commandments on the grounds of the Oklahoma City Courthouse, but, since their State Supreme Court shot DOWN the 10 Commandments monument, plans have changed and this statue may now be on its way to Little Rock Arkansas, where Justice Roy Moore apparently has never read the First Amendment.  In any case after many threats of protests and even BOMB threats - for CHRISTIAN groups, no less - the location of the event is being kept secret until tomorrow morning, but rest assure I will be there to report on it!

And finally (for now anyway) on Sunday, August 2nd, at 3:PM,..

...I have the pleasure of hosting Super Star ISSA, and Rainbow Radio founder (not to mention that of a dozen other stations!) Barbara Sobel - who's the soul reason you'll be listening to me in the first place!

And finally, IF things go according to plan, on Tuesday, August 4th...

That's right, folks! I'll be hosting Deven Green, the comedienne behind the viral videos of "Mrs. Betty Bowers, America's Best Christian!"

AND YOU'LL HEAR IT ALL ON

Glitches and Gratitude

So first off, I'd like to send out the most heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who tuned into Sunday's encore presentation of the show I did with JULIAN MARSH.  We got such a response that we actually crashed the server at one point!  So THANK YOU, so much!

Also, I'd like to apologize to anyone who tuned into tonight's show with Terra Snover, creator of Mock Girl. There was about a 30-second long technical glitch, where two tracks were playing right on top of one another. I take full responsibility for that, that was totally my fault, and I have fixed it on the podcast that is now hosted up on the Radio Page.

Thanks again to everyone who tuned in!

Fucking Right Wing Scum...

To vote Republican in this day and age to be utterly inhuman. What utter fucking scumbags.
Breaking: Republican US Senators Kill LGBT Students' Anti-Bullying Bill
Did Your US Senator Just Vote To Allow LGBT Students To Be Bullied? Here's The List

How the hell can you SUPPORT BULLYING?! Seriously! I mean... I don't care HOW you feel about LGBT people, but what kind of sub-human scum do you have to be to actually SUPPORT BULLYING THEM?!
They are an absolute CANCER on our society. Good-for-nothing, scum-sucking PARASITES.

Every single "No" vote was Republican. Every. One. Not a single Democrat opposed this bill. And people wonder why I will NEVER vote for ANY Republican on ANY level of Government.

TONIGHT, 10:PM EST: Christian Beranek & Kelci Crawford!

They work together on Validation.

Many of Christian's other works can be found at the The Webcomic Factory.

Most of Kelci's other work can be found on Her Website.

Been away...

I've been out of town since lats Friday, just getting back in tonight. I'd like to thank everyone who tunes into last Tuesday's and last Sunday's shows, and for those who missed them, let you know that they are now up on the Radio Page. I particularly recommend Tuesday's show with Rainbow Radio's own Julian Marsh. Julian is a really funny guy, we had a great time and a great discussion.

Coming up, on Sunday I'm hosting long time journalist Deedee Friedberg, and on Tuesday, very excited to be hosting Christian Beranek and Kelci Crawford, the writer and artist behind the Validation web comic. I've had the pleasure of interviewing Christian once before, but this is my first time meeting Kelci and I hope you'll be able to tune in!

Sunday's show is now up on the Radio Page. (Spoiler: After the first couple minutes, it the same as the previous show!) SUPPORT CRAVE!

And coming up tomorrow night, I'm pleased to be joined by the talented, funny and totally amazing Jessica Udischas, creator of Manic Pixie Nightmare Girls! Don't miss it!

MARRIAGE EQUALITY WINS!!!

Two correct decisions in less than a week! I can't remember the last time... I can't remember ANY time, in my life, that I've said that about the Supreme Court! For a body that gets it wrong so painfully often, this has been a great week, and I'm very happy and very proud to finally be able to say that I live in country where...

Welcome, at long last to the 21st Century!

There's a particular phrase that I save for special occasions such as these, if I'm not mistaken I've only used it two other times in the history of this blog, but to all the bigots opponents of LGBT equality out there:

SUCK IT, FUCKERS! WE WON!
